Four figures are placed in the center of the high relief
- Zhukov, Rokossovsky, Batov and Panov

On June 21, 2014, on the 71st kilometer of the R-31 highway (Bobruisk-Mozyr-Novaya Rudnya) in the vicinity of the villages of Rakovichi and Mikhailovka, Svetlogorsk district, the “Bagration” memorial was opened on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the territory from Nazi invaders It was from these places that the famous military operation began.

In 1944, a swampy swamp was located at this place, which was deliberately chosen by the
Soviet command as the main direction for the offensive, because in the area of Parichy, well traveled (15 km to the north), the German defense was quite dense, and, of course, no one “guarded” the swamp.

IS-3 tank
As General Batov, commander of the 65th Army recalled: “The German generals believed in the conditional topographic sign“ impassable swamp ”(hatched) and succumbed to the comforting thought that we could’t advance on swamp swamps.”

However, they could. They crossed the quagmire through the gatami, as one of the memorial's exhibits today recalls: the IS-3 tank mounted on a log floor.

The central object of the complex is a 7-meter monument by sculptor Valery Kondratenko. Four figures are placed in the center of the high relief - Zhukov, Rokossovsky, Batov and Panov (commander of the 1st Guards Tank Corps, which, in fact, made its way through the swamps here).
