It borders with Rogachev, Svetlogorsk, Zhlobin districts of the Gomel region, Glussky, Osipovichsky, Kirov districts of the Mogilev region.
Relief: semi-closed plain (Central Berezinsky), weakly hilly in places, rugged by a dense network of rivers and drainage channels, average height - 165 m above sea level.
Minerals of sedimentary origin: clay, building sands, peat, sapropel. There is a source of mineral water.
Climate: temperate continental. The average temperature in January is -6.8 C, in July - + 18 C. Osadkov falls on average 600 mm per year.

Vegetation: the area is located in the zone of mixed forests (38% of the territory is occupied by forests). Woody, meadow vegetation (more than 200 species of herbaceous plants), marsh.
Fauna: about 300 species of vertebrate animals. More than 40 species of mammals (the most common beavers, wolves, foxes, hares, roe deer), up to 200 species of birds, more than 30 species of fish, about 20 species of reptiles and amphibians. Rare and endangered species: eagle owl, common kingfisher, oatmeal, badger, European lynx, garden dormouse, etc.
Nature conservation sites: 13 hydrological reserves, 2 landscape reserves, 3 botanical nature monuments. On the territory of the city, there is a botanical natural monument "Bobruisk oak giant", landscape reserve "Onion Mountain".
City population: 215,092 (according to the 2009 census). Of these, 110,477 are male, 114,615 are female.
